The Victorians especially loved taxidermy and saw it as a celebration to nature.  All our taxidermy items are individually handmade and every care is taken to reproduce them as close to the original as possible.

This impressive stuffed black bear would be ideal in a hallway, study, library or antique shop.  He has been furred by hand in a faux fur and stands on a wooden base.  He is incredibly realistic with teeth, tongue, claws and glass eyes.

Stuffed pike for the dolls house Pike

Replica of a stuffed pike in a light beeswax polished wood case.  The case is glazed and decorated with stones and handmade plants.  The pike is hand painted and has a realistic metallic sheen.

Realistic handcrafted twelfth scale elephants foot walking stick stand with walking stick and umbrella.  The elephants stick stand has a real brass top and is 1.5" high. 

The walking stick has a ferrule not usually seen on dolls house walking sticks.

The non-working umbrella has a real silk covering to look like a folded umbrella.

An unusual curiosity of a stuffed chimpanzee head.  The Victorians would have these as paperweights for the desk or just as a curio.

Typical Victorian taxidermy of an owl with a mouse under its foot.  The Victorians particularly liked animal studies that replicated the real world.  The owl has been feathered and the mouse furred.  The picture does not do this justice.

This was especially favoured by the Victorians who loved to see nature and who loved beautiful things in their homes.  There are 10 butterflies displayed under this dome on a naturalistic setting of leaves and plants.  This can be viewed from any side and so could be displayed on a table.
